After watching the video, I felt that although many Singaporean are living in other countries, they still felt that their home is forever Singapore. This shows that no matter where they are, they still had a sense of belonging for singapore. I felt that it is important to have a sense of belonging for your own country as I am a Singaporean too. However, I still want to live in my country no matter what happened. I enjoyed living in Singapore as Singapore is a peaceful country. I have been to other countries but I felt that living in Singapore is more comfortable for me. It is not easy to adapt in a foreign country especially when you are alone. I will want to live in Singapore in the rest of my live as I want to live in this great country where I was born. I can already adapt to living in Singapore for the past 10 over years.

On 3 march, I went to the Career seminar at Suntec City with some of the band members. The place was full of people of different ages. There were many booths at the fair and the only career I am interested is the Sport Management, Hospitality and Tourism and Education. Sport Management would give the participants an understanding of the nature and meaning of sport and leisure, as well as planning and management of financial, human and the environment resources to meet the needs of sport and leisure industry. This career provides participants with up-to-date business and management skills. Hospitality and Tourism provides participants an understanding of the nature and meaning of hospitality and tourism, as well as planning and management of financial, human and environment resources to meet the needs of industry. Places that provides jobs related to hospitality and tourism are hotels and resorts, restaurants, cafes and pubs, conferences and events, enterainment and leisure, health and fitness clubs, catering services, tourism management, travel agencies, airlines and tour operators. Last but not least, about Education. It had always been one of the most respected proffessions in the world. There is no doubt that educators are some of the most motivated people around. Leaders and thinkers in our society attribute their success to a teacher in grade school or university who inspired them to greatness. Educators can wield a great deal of influence over their students and this power needs to be exercised wisely and objectively. Places that educators could be in are the Kindergardens, schools, polytechnics, universities and private training institutes. Among the three choices of career, I preferred the Sport management. I have interest in sports and I want to experience the processes. Hospitality and tourism would be my second choice as I do not enjoy working in a foreign country alone as it is very boring to me. However, I would love to work in the airport and serve the tourists. I can interact with them and understand them better. I choose my career depending on my interest, not following what my friends chose because everybody have their own interest in different career.

My Ambition

I want to be a primary school teacher because I like to teach small kids. I do not choose to teach kindergarden because some kindergarden children is too michievious and too difficult to comtrol them.Primary school teachers develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives. They facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with pupils and by their organisation of learning resources and the classroom learning environment. They develop and foster the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of children, according to age, ability and aptitude. They link pupils' knowledge to earlier learning and develop ways to encourage it further. Primary school teachers challenge and inspire pupils to help them deepen their knowledge and understanding.

Requirement
Some of the qualities of a teacher is patient, responsible and knowledgeable. They need to be very patient. Assertiveness skills is a skill that you will get nowhere. You also need to be incredibly observant, organised and inventive. You need strong verbal communication skills and the ability to project your voise without shouting. You need to be career motivated and content to work almost continually through your breaks and at home. Lesson Planing and marking take serious time if you do it properly. It's pretty much a thankless job nobody will appreciate the effort you put in but yourself and the pay is unreflective of the qualifications.

Background

Teaching another young generation with passion, patience and also preparing the students for the challenges they need to face in the rest of their life. Set good example for them to see so that they will follow what I do. Teach them about character development.

Qualifications

The quality of primary school provision depends greatly on the teachers and the training received by them. Teacher training and qualification offer high leverage opportunities for enhancing standards of training and expanding career opportunities for pre-school professionals in Singapore. The various levels of training are planned to cater to the different needs of the teachers and to prepare them for leadership in the sector. This will ensure that pre-school professionals are well equipped to provide our young with an enriched learning environment, to nurture their social skills and values, and prepare them for lifelong learning.

My name is Gan Shu Hui. I am a 15 years old girl. My hobbies are shopping, cycling, blogging and sending messages to friends through hand phones. I enjoy shopping because I can hang out with my friends whenever I am free to shop for the latest clothes design. During the weekends, I would go cycling with my family and friends. It is a relaxing exercise for me, to reduce the stress I face in school.

I come from a middle class family. Besides my parents, I also have a younger sister who is 13 years old this year. Most of the time, my sister approach me when she is in need of help and I will teach her whatever I know. When my family members are not around, I will call my friends and chat with them for hours to pass the time. I have quite a number of good friends in school.

I am currently studying in Chong Boon Secondary School. I am in secondary 3 this year and I have to study 9 subjects which are English, Chinese, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Social Studies, Principles of Accounts, Elementary Mathematics and Food and Nutrition. Besides studying, there is programme in school called co-curricular activities. The programme aims to develop pupil's physical fitness and basic skill competencies, inculcate correct values and positive social attitudes, and help them to acquire a life-long hobby/interest in games which also provides healthy recreational activites. Secondary school is a four to five years course. During the final year, we have to take the final exams and proceed on to the next level of education.

Singapore is full of greenery and plants. We can easily see them beside the road and they help to beautify the environment. Not only Singapore is a clean and green country, we are also a multi racial country with different races. These races include the Chinese, Malays, Indians and also the Eurasians. Therefore, we can try out different food from the different races. Last but not least, I feel proud to be a Singaporean to be part of this great country.
